Our Story
Darrell Cobb is the Owner and Operator of AquaKlear filtration. Darrell is an Air Force veteran with his service starting at just 17 years old, straight out of high school. After extensive schooling in electronics Darrell Left the Air Force and started a career as an electronic technician working for Cellular telephone companies. He had a desire to continue learning, he studied engineering and became a design engineer for AT&T Wireless and then a regional engineering manger. After 25 years in Electronics and engineering Darrell moved to McCall Idaho to start a small business with his family. One business was a hot tub store with a service department taking care of 250 hot tubs and pools where he gained an extensive knowledge of water chemistry and issues caused by things like heavy iron and manganese. This lead to another business of water filtration. Fixing the problem before it reaches the hot tub.
After several years of being a dealer for a national company and learning extensive information from their chemist and Engineers, Darrell Started studying water chemistry and system engineering. After extensive research Darrell put his Engineering background to use again to design what is now the AquaKlear extensive and ever evolving product line. Using the best filtration components on the market to include world leading resins and medias coupled with our customers water chemistry, AquaKlear custom designs systems for each customers water chemistry and needs at very competitive prices.
